Fringe – Season 4 Episode 10 ‘Forced Perspective’

Spoilers ahead!

“Are you sure? They all look like the same man.”

Now now Broyles, that’s racist!

I know it shouldn’t have but I’m sorry, the death by I-beam made me laugh. I knew he was about to die from something anyway (of course the girl, Emily, sketches the future!) and the woman’s initial reaction with the spray of blood… It was more what I’d expect from someone getting an unexpected squirt when slicing an orange.

My laughter aside, nice and simple scene to introduce the case of the week. I’m also really happy that Lincoln uses the word “skewered” to describe the incident.

It seems like her sketchbook is bigger than her backpack. That’s the real mystery of this episode…

For being so worried about Emily getting snatched up, the father really doesn’t mind her wandering about town by herself and using public transportation.

I always enjoy a good Walter putting someone in a trance scene, and Peter really ninja’d that latin. At this point I realize the case of the week totally took over this episode but I’m okay with that, I am really enjoying this story. What works for this episode so well are all the connections between Emily and Olivia. That reminds me, I hope we get this season’s 80′s episode soon. There has to be an 80′s episode this season, doesn’t there?

And then Peter is a total bummer at the end without even knowing it.

Nina Sharp, that… *shakes fist*

I don’t have much else to say about this episode. There weren’t any “holy crap!” moments, it was just really interesting with some good suspense and for the most part stands by itself pretty well. Go watch it if you haven’t already! Can’t wait until next week.

Thanks for reading!
